my first carnival
my mom got a tip from a friend yesterday that the next town over was hosting a carnival.  after my nap, we loaded up in the car and headed over.  the rockstar parking spot we got was a good sign of things to come.  we grabbed our tickets and headed to the first ride: the cars

i chose a jeep, and did a good job sharing when I realized other girls wanted to jump for the ride

Next we hit up an obstacle course. while there were many obstacles, there is only 1 picture of the final slide. i freaked out along the course and the carnival worker had to physically push me through the slide.  alls well that ends well because i managed to finished the course with a smile as i made my way down the massive slide.

i am surprised that is was the third thing we did because i usually have a merry-go-round radar, but i jumped on my white horse as we on my way.

then it was all things mardi gras fun house.  the fun house started with a mirror/clear glass maze that mom couldn't stop laughing about as we tried to make our way through.  It ended with a super fast slide that everyone enjoyed!

all jacked up on slide speed i headed to the motorcycles to work on my pop-a-wheelies

what's a carnival without a little dumbo?  mom and i went for a ride...up and down...up and down...

a quick fishing game netted me a stuffed fish prize...score

after stopping for a wardrobe change (small little mishap with the bathroom and my fear of automatic flushing toilets) and quick bite to eat we played one last fishing game

before one last ride on the construction trucks then calling it a night

I can't wait until next year when i'm a few inches taller!

Celebrating the 4th

quick recap:
  • i am almost 3
  • i wear snorkel and breathing apparatus to swim underwater
  • i have a new house in northfield
  • i know how to use words like competent
now that i have everyone caught up.....
mommy was fresh off of her coaching trip to maryland and daddy just left for connecticut to visit his college friends and it was the 4th of july.  aunt ellen invited us to breakfast before the parade and we jumped at the offer.  we headed to the northfield restaurant--note to anyone reading- avoid the northfield restaurant.

we hurried to our viewing spot. (cousin aiden makes a great partner in crime)

living in northfield has, to this point, been pretty low key--the parade was no different.  1 firetruck and a whole bunch of kids on decorated bikes--that's it.  i waited anxiously for it to start, and before i knew it, the parade was over.

after waiting, then watching, then following the parade to the community center, a nice cool snow cone did the trick to cool me off

off the kid's field!  first up, the slide.  we grabbed out sacks and headed to the top

then down we go!!!!!

next up was the underwater obstacle course--it only makes sense that it came in the form of a shark!

reach the pinnacle

now to finish it off!

this is a few years off, but cousin nolan had a turn!
